Logo Evolution

Following on from the previous post by Finlay. I did some research into other redesigns and found one which seems to be more successful, the Starbucks logo.

From the original design each subsequent logo has been updated to incorporate their ethics or future aims. Do you agree that this design is an improvement on the previous ones?
